How to use Page Builder to design a page

Step-by-step guide

To view all of your pages you can navigate to your Pages Dashboard

From here you will see a list of all pages associated with your account and their current status

This is where you can also edit each one of your pages using our Page Builder

The Page Builder allows you to edit the settings and components on the page including setting the hierarchy of your pages

The Settings button will give you the following options:

Page Title: The name of your page

Page Description: Brief overview of the page

Allow Search Engines to Index this Page: This will allow search engines to find this page and make it searchable

Hide this page from public users: This will hide the page from users who do not have a login access to your project

Hide login buttons from users: This will hide the option for users of you page to login

Page URL: The web address for the page

Set as Landing Page for: Choose for this page to be the landing page for a specific Map or Ideas Wall project

Parent Page: Chose if this page is the sub-page of another

Page Template: select if a Page Template is applied to this page

The Preview Mode button will allow you to view the page as a user would

You can select Continue Editing to go back to the Page Builder

Adding components allows you to add various customisable widgets to you page.

The following Widgets are available are:

  • Header Navigation: Navigation panel containing branding + links to other URL's or pages
  • Introduction: Photo, title and intro to the page
  • Project Stats: Shows current State, Comments or particular project
  • Project Phases: Snapshot view of current, upcoming and completed projects with a title and description
  • Project List: View of all or selected projects with links through to project
  • FAQ: Customisable questions and answers
  • Footer: Base of page containing logo and customisable URL links
  • Rich Text: Free text area which can also include images and videos & links
  • Document Library: Can contain files for users to download
  • Survey: can link to a previously created survey
  • Events: Add specific events which can include a description or link to register (if using external event platform)
  • Gallery: Upload images for users to view
  • Engagement: Add particular engagement type ie. Interactive Map, Ideas Wall or Stand-alone Survey
  • Follow Us: Allows you to add links to your social media
  • Discussion: Allow users to discuss a particular topic similar to a forum
  • Breadcrumbs: This will allow users to add a set of links that follows the users path and allows them to click back to a previous page

Each Widget can be edited or customised using the Edit button in the top right of the widget

Once happy with your page you can save using the Done button where you will have the option Save Draft or Publish or Discard
